I'm looking for a commander that has at least 2 of the following. I've built this one and torn it apart a few times, I just can't get a consistent sac outlet/self mill strategy to fire.
The problem is that I needed a way to get the creatures that make spawn to be in the graveyard. Cashing in spawns for a big X commander with the ability to recur stuff on attack sounded really good. This guy felt like he's really weak for a 3/3 for 5 CMC, he needs at least 2 spawn just to be even. But the more I thought about it, the lack of any keywords like trample or menace meant that I was going to get chumped for days. Getting a bunch of +1 counters seemed awesome for just saccing eldrazi spawn. ]: This is the commander I was initially looking at. My initial reaction was to pass but I might come back to him ]: similar feeling to korvold, but maybe less so. It's just too easy to build him, and it doesn't feel like a eldrazi spawn commander. ]: Honestly he's probably the best commander but I hate this card so much. Here's some Jund commander's I've considered/tossed aside. I considered going golgari aristocrats, but the whole reason I wanted to play this tribal was to play rapacious one, so I'm having a problem. My thinking is that I need at least Jund (GRB) so that I have access to cards like ], ] in black, and green just has a bunch of fairly efficient ones like ], ] etc. So I'm on a quest to find a different commander. I didn't want to make a juri deck that had a eldrazi spawn subtheme, I wanted to go all out for eldrazi spawn. But I ran into a problem there just isn't enough eldrazi spawn cards in rakdos colors. My mind was telling me I wanted to play lots of eldrazi spawn to sac to make Juri huge. My first thought was ] to play as an aristocrats deck. I instantly fell in love with this pseudo old knawbone and decided I wanted to build a deck around him.
